What is more important: The Right People or The Right Idea?

My twitter or LinkedIn status has a sentence that goes like this-"I wanna be part of an exciting startup...".Now few days back i had the opportunity of meeting a entrepreneur who asked me a simple question - what do you mean by exciting startup ? Is it right people or right idea that you are looking for ? I think this is a question that most of the startup job seekers would ask  before joining a startup.I have a suggestion on the same.
I think both are important.But when it comes to selecting one over other, it's always people for me.If you look at all the successful companies today their idea is not so unique and it has been done several times before. So the idea has always been there and has always been right. The question is, what made these ideas work today and not in the past.

Of course, there are a combination of elements that together have made the idea work today and not in the past but definitely "Right People" is on top of that list.I believe that the "Right people/Team" can make an even mediocre idea work but the wrong people will ruin the greatest of ideas.

 No matter how revolutionary you think your idea is, chances are a hundred people have thought it before. Whether that idea turns into a success is all about execution and execution is people.Your ideas will definitely change with time as per the market demand  or till the time it is completely implemented but what remains constant is the ability of right people to understand the business and the dynamics to know what to change and when.The right people will help you implement and change ideas until something works great.

As an aspiring startup guy I will get involved in ideas that may or may not be a good idea but people that I believe are good people.
